Jamaree Caldwell 2025 NFL Draft Profile

Jameree Caldwell is next on deck for the 2025 NFL Draft profile series. All of the good, bad, and ugly you want to know about the Oregon defensive tackle is going to be tackled. Let’s not waste another second and get right into it.

NFL Draft Stock Report: Senior Bowl (3)

Caldwell, 24, was a zero star recruit coming out of high school. Look, it’s one thing to be a walk-on. It’s another to be a walk-on at a JUCO. There’s gotta be a line of demarcation in terms of where you’re willing to go with a zero star JUCO walk on and the rest of the draft community is well past that point.

Last year, Caldwell played for Oregon. The prior two years before that, he was at Houston. That was, of course, coming off the heels of a JUCO run. In 2023 with Houston, Caldwell racked up 6.5 sacks. This past year with Oregon, that number dropped to zero.

I think the Combine was really all I needed to see here. Checking in at 6-foot-3, 332, with 32 inch arms, his performance at the Combine was gross. Not to mention the fact that his Senior Bowl was irrelevant. I couldn’t have been less impressed during this pre-draft process. He’s a big nose tackle, but he’s not a good nose tackle.

Let’s also close with this. Derrick Harmon was clearly the guy on that front (profile). Maybe you can argue Caldwell helped Harmon. I’m not even a fan of Harmon, but the gap between those two was noticeable. More than anything, I saw a big body who falls over too much while not having any real ability to bend. He’s a zero in the pass rush department too.

I have an undrafted grade on Jamaree Caldwell. This one is a hard pass for me.
