Jamal Adams: We’re The Best Defense In The League

The Seattle Seahawks defense has finally come alive in the past couple of weeks. Despite having plenty of talent on the defensive side of the ball, Seattle’s defense was always lackluster. This led to some wanting a defensive coordinator change. Jamal Adams now says the Seattle Seahawks defense is the best in the league. It’s hard to say the Seahawks have the BEST defense in the league, but they have really turned it around in the past few weeks.

I would even say that they have turned it around the second half of the season. After giving up 44 points to the Bills in week 9, the highest total any team has gotten against the Seahawks is 23 points. The past 5 weeks has been under 18 points. The offense for the Seahawks was never in question. With Russell Wilson, DK Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett, there’s not much to question.

The Seattle defense is well on their way to being a great defense for playoff time. Jamal Adams may reaching saying that they have the best defense in the NFL, but their defense has really been a lot better this past few weeks. At the moment, the Seahawks are the 3rd seed with still a chance to make the 1 seed or the 2 seed.

They have a chance to play the Cardinals, the Bears, the Rams, and maybe even the Bucs the first week of the postseason. They just held the Rams to 9 points this in week 16. The Cardinals’ offense has been struggling. The Bears just have David Montgomery and Allen Robinson to worry about. Their only concern should be the Bucs, even though Tom Brady is 43 and his arm might be shot, they still have Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, and Gronk. That’s plenty of offensive talent to put a scare into the Seahawks.

As long as they avoid the Bucs in the first round, their defense could win them a game easily. Time will tell to see how far this team can go, and it starts with the defense.
