Jalen Hurts is wildly overrated

Well, well, well, I am back with another so-called opinion piece. This time, watch out Eagles’ fans because this might hurt you a little bit. I know not a lot of people found my last opinion article too pleasant, but if you haven’t read it, you can check it out here. This time, we’re staying on the quarterback trend but moving conferences. Jalen Hurts — yes you heard me correctly — is the man in question today.

Before I get into my reasoning, you can light me up in the comments all you want — I frankly don’t mind. Share it with a friend or anyone you know, and tell them how dumb this opinion is, but give it a chance and listen through the whole idea.

After two full years starting in the NFL, Hurts was voted as the third best player in the NFL! The third best player. Are you kidding me? That is crazy talk right there. I can’t even say he is the third best quarterback in the league, let alone player.

If I had to rank my NFL quarterbacks right now, I would put Hurts somewhere around fifth- or sixth-best. No higher right now, no lower.

I personally think he is overrated because of his one good year. Outside of last year, what has he really done? Nothing. I know he didn’t play much his first year, but even his second season wasn’t too impressing. Yes, he is a good player, but I truly can’t get behind the third best player in the NFL, especially after one season.

Not to mention, he has the best overall team in the league. He has two of the best wide receivers in the game with A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, plus the best offensive line in the NFL and a loaded other side of the ball. The Eagles can’t get much better. If they do, Hurts might prove me wrong. He could become the third best player in the NFL. But will he? No way. He might become a top 10-15 player, but third is down right atrocious. That’s why he is overrated.

Is Jalen Hurts overrated, underrated or just right? Let us know in the comments down below.
