Everybody loves Jalen Hurts. I have no idea why because he stinks, but I guess you can’t change the story. People love Hurts because he won at Alabama but lost his job because he stinks. Then proceeded to make a comeback at Georgia to keep Bama’s season alive. With Tua Tagovailoa entrenched as the starter next year, Hurts finally is leaving Alabama.

Hurts announced that he will transfer to Oklahoma via the Players Tribune:

“I’ve decided to take my talents to the University of Oklahoma, where I will continue my development as both a quarterback and as a student.”

“So to my about-to-be family in Norman, I truly appreciate you for bringing me on board. Y’all don’t know me yet……… but just for now, to introduce myself: I’m a motivated coach’s son from the Eastside of Houston, and I love to play ball.”

“And to my Bama family, once again, THANK YOU — for everything. It’s been a great three years. I’ll love you until the end of time!”

ROLL TIDE.

What an idiot. Truly. What a dumb ass. Why in the world would he pick Oklahoma? Wouldn’t you want to go to a place where you are a lock to start? Why not go to Florida Atlantic? Pair up with Lane Kiffin and run the table in a small conference. You know what Hurts just did? He threw himself into another quarterback battle that he could very well lose.

Kyler Murray is declaring for the Draft so it would seem like Oklahoma has an opening at quarterback. That is not true. Spencer Rattler is coming to town and he’s the number one quarterback recruit in the country. Rattler won the Elite 11 high school quarterback competition and clearly has talent. I need to know what is going through Hurts’ mind. Why in the world would you want to compete with another number one quarterback recruit? You already lost that battle to another Elite 11 champ in Tagovailoa.

This is a real gutsy call her. One that makes zero sense. I highly doubt that Oklahoma will red-shirt the top quarterback recruit in the country. Get ready for another Hurts benching.
