Jae Crowder was traded over to Miami midseason in the Justise Winslow – Andre Iguodala trade. Crowder has always been a great glue guy but has never really found a home to stay in long term. Crowder has moved around a lot in his NBA career. If it’s up to him, Crowder wants to stay in Miami for the foreseeable future. We don’t know when the NBA will return but when it does, Crowder wants to be in Miami.

VIA Miami Herald:

“I’m just very happy to be a part of this organization because I’ve always envisioned that, but I never knew if it could come true,” said Crowder, who has averaged 11.9 points while shooting 39.3 percent on threes, 5.8 rebounds, two assists and 1.5 steals in 13 games since he was traded to the Heat in February. “But I always wanted to play for this city.”

Crowder seemed to be fitting in well with the Heat before the season got shut down due to Coronavirus. Crowder has been traded A LOT during his NBA career. The eight-year vet out of Marquette has played for Dallas, Boston, Cleveland, Utah, Memphis, and Miami. It’s no wonder that Crowder is seeking some security.

Unfortunately, that probably won’t happen for Jae Crowder. He’s the perfect 3 and D wing that is very easy to include in any trade. Crowder, 29, will hit unrestricted free agency this upcoming offseason. Miami likely won’t be willing to do a long term deal for him given the fact that they seem intent on saving cap space for the Summer of 2021. Because of Coronavirus, Crowder played just 13 games for the Heat and he may have already played his last with the way things are going.
