In what my be the biggest news of the decade, Jackson Mahomes wants to collab on TikTok with new Chiefs signing Juju Smith-Schuster. The fact that this is news is laughable in itself but it deserves a post for just how cringe-y it is. While Jackson Mahomes was first known as the little brother of NFL QB Superstar Patrick Mahomes, he is now known for his TikTok. Doing the dances and trends regularly on his own time and at NFL games. Jackson Mahomes has 1 million followers and 35.7 million likes on his TikTok account. He is verified and is well known on Tiktok. Juju’s numbers on TikTok are better than Patrick Mahomes. He has 3.3 Million followers and 45.5 million likes on TikTok.
It makes sense why Jackson Mahomes wants to collab with the NFL’s biggest TikTok star. I don’t believe that Jackson has a future in sports or anything worthwhile. Being a TikTok personality (if we want to call it that) seems to be the future for him. While Juju is an NFL player, he should be well off with or without TikTok. The Steelers let Juju walk away and were fed up with his constant TikTok-ing (God I am getting old). It seemed that Juju didn’t take his NFL job serious enough. However, Juju isn’t a bad WR. He does get a bad reputation for the TikToks and the seemingly distraction it brings to the team. But, he can go out there and catch the ball and make plays.
Now, Juju is in a place that welcomes his TikToks. He will be in Kansas City behind Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, meaning Juju will be open quite a bit if defenses are focusing on those two. The best part of it is that Jackson Mahomes can’t wait to make TikToks with him. I’m sure Juju won’t flat out say it, but this could be a major reason why he wanted to be in KC. He gets to do his TikToks and collab with Jackson Mahomes! Who can think of anything better?
