Jack Plummer 2024 NFL Draft Profile
Jack Plummer (somehow not related to Jake Plummer) will round out the 2024 NFL Draft QB rankings when released. We’re going over everything you need to know with the Louisville quarterback. Here is the 2024 NFL Draft Profile on Jack Plummer!
With Plummer, what you see is kinda what you get. Plummer, 24, was a six year player in college. The positive is that he has a bunch of starts under his belt. The problem is he never really established himself as the guy anywhere. He got spot start duties at Purdue for three years never really making a huge impact. He was just okay at Cal but the warts were obvious. This past year for Louisville, Plummer threw 21 touchdowns and 12 picks while completing nearly 65% of his throws.
Part of the problem with Plummer is that he’s a total statue. He had 34 rushing yards on 98 attempts last year. He can be accurate but feels most comfortable in RPO and shotgun stuff. How is that going to work at the NFL level while being a limited athlete? Plummer checks in at 6-foot-5, 215, and was a three star recruit coming from the state of Arizona.
It’s just a lot of Brock Osweiler stuff here. Big and lanky guy who can throw. He’s got less arm power than Osweiler and might be less athletic too. Tall thrower but often doesn’t push the ball deep enough. 2023 was by far his best mark in terms of YPA (8.1). In the past, he’s been very conservative making big throws while somehow still turning the ball over.
Jack Plummer is an undrafted player for me but maybe he can latch on as a backup down the line. Still has size and can deliver an accurate ball. Just has no real ceiling of any kind.
