We’re getting deep into the cornerback class with the 2025 NFL Draft profile series. Jabbar Muhammad is next up on the docket as we continue to grind on getting as many of these done as we can before the big day. Without further ado, here’s your scouting report on the Oregon cornerback!
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 6, Week 7, Week 10, Rose Bowl
Muhammad, 23, was a three star prospect out of the state of Texas. The DeSoto, Texas, native was the 84th ranked corner and 133rd ranked player in the state. The redshirt senior checks in at 5-foot-9, 182, with a smidge over 28 inch arms. He also transferred a bunch playing three years at Oklahoma State, one year at Washington, and one year with the Ducks.
We really have a three year sample size of stuff to work with here. Essentially one at each school. I started jotting him in the stock notes last year when Washington made a run to the Title game. He was their number one corner, where he made Second-team All-Pac-12 Conference. That year he had 14 PBUs and three interceptions. This past year wasn’t quite as good, notching 12 PBUs and zero interceptions.
Muhammad is a fighter, but sometimes it works against him. He’s been hit with seven penalties over the last two years and has been overly handsy at times. It’s in the stock notes, but you can tell, a lot of it is trying to overcome his lack of size. The PBU numbers speak for themselves, but I have no idea how well it translates to the NFL level. He’s outside corner who needs to play press, but will probably be asked to be a nickel at the NFL level.
This is the other problem. Forget about the lack of size. He’s not a crazy athlete either. His Combine performance wasn’t impressive. Refused to run and it would have been a piss poor time if he did. It’s one thing to be small. When you’re a back bender the way he is, it’s hard to really take this one overly serious.
When it comes to Jabbar Muhammad, I have a 6th-7th round grade here. The guy is a fighter, and his handwork is there. It’s just not enough to overcome the red flags.
