It appears as if NickMercs is done with Barstool and is no longer promoting their sportsbook. In his most recent YouTube video, he is playing Apex Legends after quitting Call of Duty: Warzone, but their ad is no longer featured in his video.
This is a huge blow for Barstool as NickMercs’ brand is growing day by day. Not only is Nick one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, but he has also stepped up his “YouTube game” and built a team to improve that channel. The gamer is also a huge sports fan, and last January, he partnered with Penn and Barstool as a promotion vehicle. However, this may not be a huge loss for Nick as he just announced a partnership with Under Armour.
That deal had a few components, having their ad on his overlay (or in all of his content) and giving picks himself that would then be boosted. Therefore, his fans who want to take the same bets as their favorite streamer can do it in the Barstool Sportsbook.
Since the deal was made in January, the NFL season was coming to an end, so he got a chance to give his picks for the playoffs, but after that, his picks died down. This is an interesting time to not continue as they continue to hire tons and tons of gambling content creators, most recently a “TikTok influencer” named Angelina.
