Inter Miami and Barca to Foil Saudi Arabia’s Messi Offer

Inter Miami and FC Barcelona are working together to foil Saudi Arabia’s attempt to sign Lionel Messi.

Messi’s future is currently unknown as he prepares to depart PSG at the end of the season. He has been with the French giants for the last two years.

Despite winning two Ligue 1 titles, he was unable to help PSG win a Champions League trophy and will now look for a new club this summer.

It was reported by ESPN in April that Al-Hilal, the city rivals of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, had offered Messi a $400 million contract.

It seemed probable that the legendary Argentine would at least consider this offer. Messi is currently the face of the “Visit Saudi Arabia” tourism campaign, and $400 million is $400 million after all.

However, David Beckham and Barcelona have formulated a plan to acquire Messi. The plan is that Inter Miami will first sign him as a free agent this summer. He would then be loaned back to Barcelona for 18 months.

After the Barcelona loan, he would play for Inter Miami and finish out his career in the United States.

The MLS has been trying to lure Messi to the league for months, and may have finally found the way to do so.

This plan would be tempting to Messi as it is being reported that he wishes to return to Barca. It also would allow him to continue playing at the highest level until the 2024 Copa América next year.

The deal would also give Barcelona a way around the financial and registration issues that currently make it difficult to have their legendary star return.

Messi will leave PSG following their final game of the season against Clermont Foot on Saturday. After that, his future is up in the air.

Will he move to Saudi Arabia? Or will he look to return to Barca, even if it means signing for Inter Miami first?

Whatever he decides, Messi’s decision is sure to rock the soccer world this summer.
