Insomniac Recruits MCU Artist As A Director For Spider-Man 2

Insomniac has hired Davison Carvalho to be the art director for the new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 game.

The game developer, who did Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018) and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020), were acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2019. Insomniac is currently developing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which will release in 2023.

Carvalho is extremely talented, with a good track record. He has worked on Marvel movies such as Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Thor: Ragnarok, and Captain Marvel. Also, he has some experience in the gaming world because he worked on Mortal Kombat X, Halo Infinite, Lone Echo, and Amazon’s Crucible.

The previous two Marvel Spider-Man games were well received. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 builds on the fantastic stories of the first two games. Gamers will be happy to see the character continuation from the first games, as well as the new characters and adventures Marvel is introducing.

Although there has been a switch in art directors between games, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is still in good hands as the uber-talented MCU artist Davison Carvalho is more than capable of delivering on a great game.

“Star Wars Battlefront ll” writer, Walt Williams, has received the honor of being the narrative director for the new Insomniac Wolverine title. Insomniac has been knocking it out of the park with the Spider-Man releases. Additionally, they are currently developing a darker Wolverine game.

Walt Williams is no stranger to more serious and darker storytelling. He worked as a story editor on Mafia ll (2010) and Bioshock 2 (2010) and was lead writer for Spec Ops: The Line (2012).

Surely, there is excitement on both sides — from Williams and fans. It seems everyone is ready for this new Wolverine title.
