Ike Hilliard Acknowledges Drake London Isn’t Good Enough

I tried to warn you. Nobody wanted to listen. It was a joke back then and still is today. Drake London had no business being taken in the top ten and being the first wide receiver off the board during the 2022 NFL Draft. The Falcons are paying the consequences of their idiotic decision. Falcons wide receiver coach Ike Hilliard had some interesting comments about the former USC product.

Hilliard said everything without saying it. Hilliard says London needs to take the next step and become the player the team drafted him to be.

“I’ve watched them all; some big-game talent there,” Hilliard said, via the team’s website. “Drake is obviously the one we’re really excited about. We need him to take the next steps now as a player, and we’re looking forward to coaching him, pushing him and getting him where he needs to go.”

It’s all right there. Are you smart enough to pay attention?

To close here, let me say two more things. Hilliard played at the NFL level for 12 years and was successful doing it. He knows what it takes. The former Giants and Bucs wide out registered 545 receptions during his playing career.

Also, the Falcons’ entire draft strategy over the last three years has been nothing short of insane. Taking three skill position players in a row while having nothing to show for it. No playoff appearances and still no quarterback. Oh, and they bragged about passing on Bill Belichick. WTF is this team doing?
