Hunter Henry Could Be The Steal Of The 2020 NFL Offseason

Free agency in any sport is a lot like the stock market. Buy low, sell high. Make no mistake about it, part of the Cowboys brass is happy Dak Prescott looked so bad in that Week 16 game against Philadelphia. Hunter Henry is the perfect buy low candidate and teams should be all over him when he hits the market. Henry could be the steal of the 2020 NFL offseason.

There is no questioning Henry’s talent level. Henry is 6-foot-5, 250, with good speed and an ability to be an in line blocker. Henry also has sticky hands and a proven track record. How about an 8 touchdown rookie campaign. Better yet, what about 652 yards and 55 receptions this past year in 12 games. Talent isn’t the problem. It’s staying on the field.

Henry is a guy I’ll take a chance on. The alternative is Austin Hooper who will probably cost more and won’t have nearly the ceiling Henry does. Greg Olsen and Tyler Eifert are also on the market. They have more durability concerns than Henry does. This is a first round talent who is flying way under the radar. Finding a tight end is hard. One could be just sitting there on the open market for teams to grab who will cost way less than he should otherwise.

Henry is a mismatch weapon all over the field. Put him anywhere on the field, Henry wins his route. Despite having Keenan Allen and Mike Williams on the roster, Henry made everything. Not to mention that the Chargers don’t have a coach that knows what he’s doing either. I think Henry has way more potential than he’s even show to this point. Adding Hunter Henry could be a game-changer for any team.
