George Pickens Is Unhappy With The Steelers Offense
The Steelers beat the Titans yesterday 20-16 but it’s not all good news in Pittsburgh. George Pickens is unhappy and this isn’t an issue that’s going to go away. The Steelers offense is a joke. Matt Canada is a joke. Pickens is paying the price for their ineptitude and he knows it.
Pickens stripped his social accounts of All Things Steelers. He also posted “ free me” in his Instagram story, which eventually got deleted. The only post that’s not on his Instagram is a bunch of highlights of him at Georgia.
Mark Kaboly of TheAthletic.com had the following on 93.7 The Fan today:
“By far the first person that left the field, in the locker room and out the door,” Kaboly said. “By far. He was not happy . I was told by people on the sidelines after the touchdown, he didn’t really interact with anybody. Sulking his head in his hands.”
I’m going to explain something to Steeler fans. They’re not going to like what I have to say but it’s true. Pickens has so much raw talent. We know this. He’s also a little bit of a knucklehead and he’s not afraid to speak his mind. He knows how good he is. This is not a guy who is going to play the good cop role. If things don’t change quickly in Pittsburgh, he’s going to start causing problems. That’s a guarantee.
I’m just telling you things are going to get ugly. He’s going to demand a trade if things don’t change. They’re not going to change because Mike Tomlin still doesn’t understand modern offense.
As a Pickens fantasy owner, I’m pissed. As Kam mentioned in his recent post, you can’t trust this Steelers offense, so you can’t trust Pickens. That’s not fair to the player and he knows it. Keep an eye on this situation because all signs are pointing south when it comes to this partnership.
