Five WWE Stars Who Could Win Their First Title in 2023

WWE has an abundance of talented wrestlers. But there are only so many titles to go around and so many minutes on television, so it’s hard for some superstars to break through. Since Triple H took over creative though, we have been seeing some superstars get opportunities who usually don’t. WWE has also been bringing back and signing new wrestlers of late.

With many new superstars arriving and returning, here are five superstars who can win their first title in WWE in 2023.

1. Johnny Gargano

Johnny Gargano has held a few titles in NXT. In fact, he is a triple crown champion in NXT. But after his contract expired with them, he wasn’t seen for months. After about eight months off, Gargano returned to WWE but showed up on the main roster this time.

Gargano is one of the most gifted technical wrestlers in the world. Plus, he is a big Triple H guy, who now is running creative for WWE.

Although Gargano hasn’t done much since returning to WWE, he is definitely someone who can win their first title in 2023. Whether it is the Intercontinental Championship, United States Championship, or even reuniting with Tommaso Ciampa and winning a Tag Team championship, it’s hard to not imagine he won’t win a title in 2023.

2. Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali fell victim to Vince McMahon’s ideology of having to look a certain way to be a champion. But since McMahon retired and Triple H took over creative, Ali has been on television more. Now, he hasn’t been winning much, but being on television is a start.

Ali is extremely talented in the ring, and I think he definitely has a mid-card title win in his future. Plus, we have already seen him go after the United States Championship briefly.

Ali continues to work hard and put in the time and effort to be the best he can be. WWE absolutely needs to reward him with a title run in 2023.

3. Tegan Nox

Tegan Nox is an outstanding wrestler but doesn’t have any success to show for it in WWE. While she has wrestled for NXT for a few years, she has yet to hold any gold in WWE or NXT.

Nox was released last year and didn’t wrestle a match until she returned to WWE. Upon her return, she has been teaming up with Liv Morgan to take down Ronda Rousey and Shotzi.

Nox is extremely talented and still very young. She has a bright future ahead of her and is someone who can definitely hold a title in WWE in 2023. Whether it is the Women’s Tag Team championship, Raw Women’s Championship, or the smackdown Women’s Championship, Nox has all of the skills to win a title in 2023.

4. Santos Escobar

Santos Escobar arrived in NXT in 2020 but didn’t get called up to the main roster until just a few months ago.

Since appearing on the main roster in WWE, he has impressed wrestling fans everywhere. Fans all agree that Escobar is something special. The way he carries himself, to his in-ring ability, he screams main-event superstar.

He is someone who can easily win a title in 2023. He has a bright future with WWE and his career will really take off if he wins a title in 2023. He is talented in the ring and has the charisma to be a massive superstar with WWE. I would be extremely surprised if Escobar doesn’t win a title in WWE next year.

5. LA Knight

LA Knight has taken the WWE universe by storm. Since getting called up to the main roster, he debuted as the leader of Maximum Male Models. You either loved or hated that gimmick, but one thing was for certain, you knew he was a superstar.

Since Triple H took over creative, Knight left the model group and turned heel. Currently, he is in a feud with Bray Wyatt, and it is incredible.

Knight is a megastar and is one of the best wrestlers on the mic in WWE currently. He is the superstar I’m the most confident about winning a title in WWE. Furthermore, he might be the only one on this list that will actually go after a main-event championship. But it doesn’t matter what title he holds because Knight will elevate it to a different level when he wins it.
