ESPN had another failed experiment? You don’t say? I’ll tell you what, I for one am SHOCKED! Back to reality, another show on ESPN has crashed and burned. “High Noon” with Bomani Jones and Pablo Torre has been canceled. The show was a half-hour in length but failed to captivate viewers. I’ll tell you what… SHOCKED! Hey, “High Noon”… we’ll be fucking seeing ya!
John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal was able to get the statement from ESPN:
I have to be honest, I did not watch High Noon. Didn’t need to. I’ve seen both Bomani and Torre on Around the Horn when I used to watch that back in the day. Both are a snoozefest. Neither have any juice or bring up captivating points. However, before writing this post, I tried to do some research. Was the show really that bad?
The first thing I did was went to the ESPN Youtube and found the playlist they have for the show. I truly tried to be fair. C’mon, the show couldn’t be that bad, right? This is literally the 2nd video on the playlist.
Yup, I’ve seen enough. These guys are f*cking stupid. Yup, that football thing for Kyler Murray sure was a mistake. Nothing like getting picked first in the NFL Draft. Must have been so dumb. Probably better off spending years in the minors. Being the first pick in the NFL Draft doesn’t make sense according to this bozo.
ESPN is a mess. Get Up needed severe work to be saved and isn’t generating many more viewers than High Noon. That show is 3 hours long and hard to miss. Think about that. Nobody who genuinely considers themselves a smart sports mind can’t listen to Stephen A for more than 10 seconds. Golic and Wingo is just really tough to listen to. What’s ESPN’s doing well right now?
