Emery Jones Jr 2025 NFL Draft Profile

We already did the profile on Will Campbell. Now we’re doing his collegiate teammate, Emery Jones. Campbell started at left tackle while Jones was over on the opposite side. Call me crazy, but I’m not totally convinced Jones is the worse player either… With that said, here is your 2025 NFL Draft profile on Jones!

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1Week 3Senior Bowl (2), (3)

Jones, 21, was a four star recruit during the 2022 cycle. The Baton Rouge native was the number four ranked interior offensive lineman in the country and 8th overall player in the state of Louisiana. Jones also has a basketball background in high school.

Jones is also an early declare who started the last three years at right tackle for LSU. He was a Freshman All-American and Freshman All-SEC right away. The following two seasons he was Second-team All-SEC. The LSU product checks in at 6-foot-5, 315, with over 34 inch arms. You can see that big hands and wingspan sure helps him out on the field.

I thought the Combine performance was pretty decent. No glaring red flags, minus the fact that the athletic testing, Jones didn’t compete in any of that stuff. The on-field portion was good, though. I was honestly unsure of Jones heading into the predraft process, but I think I got the answers I needed. His Senior Bowl was mostly positive, and it says a lot that the coaches made him do extra drills at the end as the guy people wanted to see in those one-on-one drills.

Over the last two years, Jones has given up three sacks and five total QB hits. Pretty damn good considering the schedule in the SEC. Again, call me crazy, but I think the gap between Campbell and Jones is a lot smaller than anyone wants to admit. There is a reason why these guys have been starting together the last three years, and it’s not like the guy on the right side is the black hole. His measurables are way better too.

I have a round 2-3 grade on Jones. Not saying he’s a Hall of Famer, but likely projects to be a starting red chip caliber right tackle.
