Dwyane Wade trolls Paul Pierce’s past comments: ‘I’m Living Rent Free’

There has been no shortage of hate between these two NBA legends after retirement: Miami Heat legend, and soon-to-be Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade and Boston Celtics great Paul Pierce. Now, after an ongoing feud between the two, Wade has trolled Pierce once again. In doing so, it could be official that Wade has ended the debate.

Back in the early 2010s, Wade had an illustrious list of teammates to show for, but he would only win two championships in that era. Seeing this, Pierce rubbed his hands together and licked his lips, knowing he could get Wade back. The 6-foot-7 forward would suggest to Wade that he should “win a couple” with his super-teams.

After seeing this comment towards himself, Wade would use the “living rent free” card against Pierce.

(All quotes via NESN.)

“Rent is expensive in America and I’m living rent free right now,” Wade said on the “Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz” Tuesday. “So let him keep — I like living rent free. … It’s documented. I don’t need to say anything. Everything is documented.

“I’m done playing the game of basketball. I’m not comparing myself to someone who’s not playing the game, or is playing the game.”

After his retirement, Pierce has become a meme on national TV, backing behind the Celtics no matter the situation, in which they would ultimately lose every time he speaks up. Not only that, but Pierce seems to care more about Wade’s career than his own. Calling out the three-time NBA championship almost every time he gets on the mic. But telling another man who has more championships than you to “win a couple” is ridiculous.

Wade would go on to speak about his career in total, viewing it as a success.

“I’m happy with my career,” Wade explained. “I don’t know who’s not happy with theirs, but I’m sorry if you’re not. But I’m happy with the way mine went.”

Did Wade finally win the argument? Who is better all-time? Let us know in the comments down below.
