Should you have any hope that Dominic Lovett can be an impact player at the next level? That’s what we’re here to talk about, hence the title, duh… So without further ado, here is your 2025 NFL Draft profile on the Georgia wide receiver.
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, Week 5, Week 10, Week 11, Week 14, Sugar Bowl, East-West (1), (3), (4)
Lovett, 22, was a four star recruit out of the state of Illinois. The 5-foot-10, 185, receiver spent two years at Missouri before finishing up two years with Georgia. The production isn’t anything to write home about. Played sparingly as a freshman. Then had his best year as sophomore notching 56 receptions for 846 yards and three scores. That was then followed up with two 600 yard seasons and 10 combined receiving touchdowns with the Dawgs to close out the collegiate career.
Lovett is a pure slot receiver. It’s what he is. He took over the Ladd McConkey role and led the team with 59 receptions. He also had five drops and didn’t help matters in terms of Georgia leading all of FBS in that category this past season.
He can definitely run. The 4.40 speed confirms that. I wasn’t blown away by the Combine but got pretty much what I was expecting. The play speed is there, and can kinda run routes. Won’t create insane separation of huge YAC plays but he’s there and fills a role in the passing game.
I have a super late round grade on Dominic Lovett. I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t get picked. If you’re looking for a slot, he can do the job. Otherwise, there’s probably not much here.
