Derrick White Responds To Being Left Off The ESPN Top 100 NBA Players List
It’s totally ridiculous that Derrick White was left off the top 100 NBA players list by ESPN. That company continues to prove they are trash each and every day. They don’t know basketball if they don’t think White is one of the top 100 players in the sport.
Explain to me how this guy ^ isn’t a top 100 player? ESPN is a JOKE!
Nevertheless, White responded to being left off the list. He remained classy as usual. You can see by his response it’s just another chip on the shoulder.
“Was I surprised? I mean, that’s just kind of how my life has always been, so not really surprised,” White said. “It is what it is. I don’t really focus too much on it.”
In that same interview, White responded to the praise that D’Angelo Russell gave him the other day.
“That was cool. I was kind of shocked,” White said. “I woke up and my boy sent me the D’Angelo Russell quote. But I mean especially from someone that’s done so much, an All-Star in this league, it was cool to hear. J.J., that’s my man. Shoutout to him. I don’t really focus on Top 100 or whatnot, but it’s cool to have that recognition from great players.”
Lay off the crack, ESPN. If you don’t think White is a top 100 player, you’re a noob. The important thing now is getting White extended. Something they’re apparently working on. We’ll see if that gets done prior to the start of the season.
