Deion Sanders recently left NFL Network and we weren’t exactly sure if this was it for him as a media analyst. I know I sure as hell am going to miss him on the field at the NFL Scouting Combine. One day after leaving NFL Network, Sanders has a new home. The man know as Prime Time has signed with Barstool Sports.
Barstool Founder Dave Portnoy released a video which broke the news:
Barstool Breakfast also broke down the news the Sanders is joining the company:
Last but not least, Pardon My Take also host Sanders today and that episode has already been released.
This is an enormous get for Barstool. I also made sure to reference Sanders in my Combine notes. You want to talk about a technician at the cornerback spot, there’s never been one better. Of course, Prime Time also came with ridiculous speed and was so athletic that he excelled as a Major League Baseball Player.
Most of all, Sanders is hilarious. He doesn’t pull any punches. I know Scott did this post yesterday but it’s hard not to agree with him. The NFL will go on without you. They do not care who you are. The thing I love about Deion is he will say what he feels and won’t just say an unpopular opinion to get clicks. He knows his opinion and stature is big enough where he doesn’t have to do those sort of things.
As of now, we don’t know what capacity Sanders will have at the company. That has not been announced. Does he get his own podcast or radio show? Prime Time the blogger? Time will tell how Barstool plans to use him.
