Deion Sanders says sons Shedeur, Shilo won’t go to NFL next year

The lights have been shining brightly over the Sanders family for the past three years now, and they aren’t looking like they’re dimming anytime soon. But with all the bright lights, the father of the Sanders family and Colorado head coach, Deion Sanders, is dimming the expectations of NFL fans.

Deion shut down all rumors of his star sons, Shedeur and Shilo, entering the NFL in 2024.

While attending the Washington Commanders-Denver Broncos game Sunday, the family was spotted in a press box. Deion was asked if his sons would make the big step into the NFL next season. In classic Deion fashion, he shut that comment down quickly. Primetime would go on to say, “You all ain’t going nowhere.”

Shedeur and Shilo Sanders have been lighting the college football world on fire this season. With national recognition at the University of Colorado and Deion Sanders coaching their squad–Colorado is must-see TV.

Shedeur Sanders is off to the best start in his collegiate career, throwing for 10 touchdowns to only one interception. Shilo Sanders, on the other side of the ball, is making a name for himself too. The 6-foot senior has 19 tackles on the year and one pick-six.

The Buffaloes are off to a hot start on the season, posting a 3-0 record against TCU plus victories over a pair of rivals in Nebraska and Colorado State.

The Buffaloes are set to take on their first real test this upcoming Saturday, Sept. 23rd. Colorado will travel to Eugene, Ore., to take on the Oregon Ducks in a top-20 matchup. Oregon opens the game as a 20.5-point favorite.

But, if there’s one thing we learned this year: Never count the Sanders family and Colorado out.
