Dear, Michelob Ultra. I Can Advertise Your Product Better Than The Ringer Can

Before I even begin, let me first start off by saying that we here at Vendetta value our advertising partners. The Ringer clearly doesn’t. I have a story to tell. Grab your popcorn and let’s do this thing. Dear, Michelob Ultra. I can advertise your product better than The Ringer. I’ll even take it a step further. You guys should be disgusted with the effort The Ringer put forth in trying to advertise your product.

I need everyone to do me a favor. I’m even helping The Ringer by giving them free clicks here. Watch this clip and tell me your thoughts in the comments section.

WTF was that?

A: You’re not even focused on what’s being said during the discussion. Does anybody even remember anybody that they stated as a breakout player? You can’t even focus on anything other than Justin Verrier’s dumb face holding a beer bottle like a 7th grader that saw a boob for the first time.

B: They don’t even drink the beer. It’s just sitting there taking up 40% of the box that Verrier is in. Talk about piss poor advertising. This is the clip you’re paying for? Three minutes to awkwardly stare at a beer bottle? Can you show me research on who bought more Michelob Ultra because of this? I’d love to know.

C: The clip is like three minutes and accomplishes nothing. Was there a good point made here? Did anybody learn anything from this clip? I actually like Rob Mahoney and Wos but this was like watching a meaningless ESPN segment that went in circles to talk about nothing. Is this really the quality of content you’re looking for Michelob? At least post the entire show. Oh, You didn’t post the whole show because I’m sure Verrier got tired of holding the beer bottle like a noob.

How much money did you pay for this clip that got 3k views? I gotta know. I promise I can do better. I’ll make sure your product is seen by our hundreds of thousands of readers instead of getting slapped together with a trash effort by The Ringer’s B team. I’ll actually drink the product on air too if you give us an ad deal.

Just think about it Michelob. Would you rather do business with someone that’s young and hungry in the midst of building the fastest-growing sports media network or lazy Bill Simmons that sold out years ago? You know where to find me. I hope you consider my request based on the fact that you’re currently flushing ad dollars down the toilet. I promise I can do better.

Look, maybe I sound harsh here but I just have more self-pride than this. I’d never put forth this kind of effort when advertising a product. Let me know what you think.
