Barstool Sports founder and CEO Dave Portnoy has, once again, went off on someone. Now you may ask who this time? That someone is Emily Heil of the Washington Post.
Heil caught a story regarding Portnoy and Barstool’s One Bite Pizza Festival, which is happening this Saturday. Heil was reaching out to the sponsors of Barstool’s Pizza Festival and questioning them.
The food news and trends reporter was trying to shame the sponsors for being associated with Portnoy. In doing so, Heil poked the wrong bear, this time–leading to an on-call feud between the writer and El Presidente. Heil would then send an email out regarding Portnoy.
“Hi, just following up on this. We are planning to write about the festival and how some of the sponsors and participants have drawn criticism by seeming to associate themselves with Dave Portnoy, who has a misogynistic comments and other problematic behavior. I wanted to make sure that (blank) had a chance to respond to this, since the company is the most prominent of the ‘partners’ for his festival.”
The beast would then be unleashed by Portnoy. In a 12-minute video, the big man at Barstool went guns blazing on Heil. Portnoy constantly questioned Heil in a matter to get an answer out of her. In a politician-like way, Heil would tell Portnoy that she wants to talk but schedule it at a different time–ultimately delaying and proving Portnoy right.

Portnoy and Heil are set to have their second dance (call) tomorrow, and the Barstool CEO will record every minute of it–that will be something you don’t want to miss.
Who took down match one, Portnoy or Heil? Let us know in the comments below.
