The New York Giants are the joke of the NFL right now. The fan base is pissed and every other fan base is making fun of them for taking Daniel Jones with the 6th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The mastermind or idiot behind that decision is general manager Dave Gettleman. It’s become very clear that the Giants do not have a plan but Gettleman claims to have one.
When should we expect Daniel Jones to take over for Eli Manning? Well, it could be longer than you think. Forget the Kansas City Model, Gettleman is thinking the Green Bay Model. Aaron Rodgers sat behind Brett Favre for 3 years. Apparently, the Giants are leaning that direction.
“Maybe we’re going to be the Green Bay model, where Rodgers sat for three years. Who knows?” Gettleman said, via Ryan Dunleavy of NJ Advance Media. “You can never have too many good players at one position.”
I challenge you to watch those videos and try not to laugh. Words cannot accurately describe how stupid Dave Gettleman is. So you’re telling me they drafted Daniel Jones with the 6th pick in the Draft to only have him sit behind Eli Manning for 3 years? Eli can’t play anymore. Not a lick. Manning is the worst starting quarterback in the league and is only getting worse because he’s old.
Say what you want over the Daniel Jones pick. The idea that Eli Manning can be the starting quarterback for not one, not two… BUT THREE MORE YEARS! That’s the most insane thing I’ve heard maybe ever. I feel like I lose brain cells every time I listen to Gettleman speak. Odell Beckham should be happy today. The Giants are a total mess.
