Since Davante Adams has joined the Packers, the Packers have been to the NFC championship 3 times. However, something feels different about the Packers this time around. He feels like the Packers are well on their way to being a serious contender again. The full quote provided by ProFootballTalk:
“I think we’ve been having some of the best practices, some of the best walkthroughs or jog-throughs that we’ve had since I’ve been here,” Adams said, via Jason Wilde of the Wisconsin State Journal. “It’s a little heightened awareness and attention to detail over the past few weeks. And it’s just beautiful to see, because you could easily just fall off and take your foot off the gas when you’re playing well and you have a good team. But just to see this team and come through and just finish it out . . . That’s what we talk about, finishing all the time. Obviously, that’s the goal, and we’ll see where this thing goes. But we’re playing good team football right now, so we’ve just got to keep that going.”
With the Packers 9-3, Davante Adams is not wrong about the direction of this team. The Packers very well could go 13-3 with the rest of their schedule. The Packers close the season out with the Lions, Panthers, Titans, and the Bears. All very winnable games for the Packers. Depending on how the Saints close out the season with their 10-2 record, will determine if the Packers will get a first-round bye or not in the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers can be contributed to the Packers’ great season because he’s playing pissed off. Can the Packers make the Super Bowl? Time will tell.
