Darren Waller Is A Must-Have In Your Fantasy Lineup

Darren Waller was almost out of the NFL, but he has transformed into a superstar player and a fantasy football gem. Jon Gruden stumbled upon this diamond in the rough on the Ravens practice squad. In the offseason of 2019, the Raiders appeared on HBO’s Hard Knocks, and Gruden raved about Waller, who quickly became a fan favorite. Waller’s acquisition is easily the best move by Gruden in his four-year return – some of his previous decisions left Raider’s fans scratching their heads.

Darren Waller would not disappoint in his first year full year starting for the Raiders. The converted tight end put up astonishing numbers, racking up 90 catches for over 1,100 yards on 117 targets and establishing himself as one of the NFL’s best tight ends. Year 2 would be even better as Waller putting up 107 catches on 145 targets for 1,196 yards and nine touchdowns, outrageous numbers for the tight end position. Tight end is one of the thinnest positions in fantasy football, so if you are able to draft Darren Waller at the end of the second round, do it. You will be getting a WR1 at the tight end position and there are plenty of solid actual wide receivers you can draft later in rounds. This pick is solely based on value.

Drafting Darren Waller could be the key to winning your fantasy league, and he and Kelce should be the only tight ends you should be thinking about in the first five rounds. You will notice how much easier fantasy football is when you do not have to worry about who will be in your lineup at the tight end position every week. Draft Darren Waller and I promise you will not be sorry.
