Does anybody remember this post? You know, the one where Danny Parkins totally had to embarrass himself? If you have no idea what I’m talking about, you can click the internal link at the start or I’ll just give you the cliff notes quick. Essentially, Parkins filled in on the Herd for Colin Cowherd over the Summer and basically admitted he wanted to blow the guy.
It turns out blowing dopey Cowherd predictably gets you a job at Fox Sports. In the most predictable turn of events ever, Parkins is expected to land a job at FS1.
“With Skip Bayless out of the picture at FS1 as of Friday, executives are putting together plans for the network’s lineup this NFL season and beyond. Multiple reports suggest a significant reshuffle, including the potential addition of a TV show built around Chicago sports radio host Danny Parkins.”
Is there any other room for interpretation here? The guy literally gave Cowherd a blowie. There’s no other way he got this job. It’s not what you know it’s who you know. Because Parkins was willing to humiliate himself, he gets a job at FS1.
Fox Sports continues to embarrass themselves. How about this line: According to McCarthy, FS1 execs see Wright as “the future of the network.”
How dumb do you have to be to even consider Nick Wright a future of anything? The way this network operates is insane and there’s a reason why there is a constant turnover of shows.
FS1’s next strategy? Who gave Cowherd that Blowie again? Let’s give him a job!
