Dana Brooke Wants To Turn The 24/7 Championship Into A Mid-Card Title

Dana Brooke is the current 24/7 champion in WWE. The 24/7 Championship was introduced in 2019 and has had countless people win it. The title gets defended anytime, anywhere, as long as there is a referee present to count to three. But it’s clear the title is just a gimmick to give wrestlers who aren’t featured on television, something to do. WWE clearly doesn’t put any effort toward the title and it shows. It’s often used as a prop and to give the shows a sense of unpredictability and comedy relief. So, should WWE scrap the 24/7 Championship and add a mid-card title to the women’s division? Dana Brooke thinks so.

Dana Brooke spoke to Steve Fall of NBC Sports Boston about what she wants the future to look like for the 24/7 Championship. Brooke wants to transition the title into an Intercontinental Championship for the women’s division.

“I’ve been wanting to transition the 24/7 Title into an IC title. I think it would be amazing. We’re building a roster, we have amazing women on the roster. With everyone coming back, why not?”

Dana Brooke thinks adding a mid-cad title to the women’s division will get more women involved in meaningful storylines. WWE has never had a mid-card title for women, in fact, they just added the women’s tag titles in 2019. this was the first time in the company’s history they had a title for the women that wasn’t a main-event caliber championship. So WWE giving the women a mid-card title is something that will take a lot of effort to get done.

Should WWE Make A Mid-Card Title For The Women’s Division?

There is no denying the fact that the 24/7 championship is a joke to WWE, plus it’s the worst-looking belt in the company. So they should undoubtedly transition the title into a mid-card championship for the women’s division. WWE has a massive women’s division, so giving them a mid-card title is a no-brainer. The 24/7 title is a joke and has never been taken seriously by the company. Plus, the women who aren’t chasing one of the titles don’t really get much television time. So WWE adding a mid-card title to the women’s division will seriously benefit them.
