Dan Le Batard Admits He Needs A Break Because His Show Is Terrible
The timing of this is so hilarious. I’m not going to act like I’m responsible. I’m just going to say that I tried to warn you. Dan Le Batard is totally robbing DraftKings. I did that post six days ago. His show is terrible, the viewership numbers are terrible, and he brings almost nothing to the table.
I don’t watch Le Batard’s show but when you do some digging , you realize that this guy is nothing but a Miami fanboy that really doesn’t know anything about sports. It’s not a surprise that his view numbers are awful.
It turns out that Le Batard has admitted his show is terrible. In the quotes to come, he also opens up about some family issues. I don’t want to go down that road. Everybody has stuff going on and it sucks that he’s dealt with loss. At the end of the day, Le Batard admits that his show stinks to the point where he wants to step away and that should be the real takeaway.
I don’t feel like what we do, that everyone can be led to care the way we need them to care unless they can also see that I care the same way,” Le Batard explained. “That I am not mailing in this thing that is for all of us.”
Does anybody know what that quote even means? There is a reason why people don’t care. It’s not about you mailing it in. It’s about you sucking at your craft.
“Our audience knows what’s good and when we’re not meeting that standard,” Le Batard acknowledged. “Because I’m in a diminished confidence state, because my temperament isn’t right day to day to do this, I’ve had to check out on criticism that used to be helpful just because it was hurting me.”
This quote says everything you need to know. It’s one thing that people don’t watch his show. It’s another that the few fans he has are even tuning him out. Can we just make one thing clear. If Le Batard can’t show up and talk about sports while getting paid millions of dollars, he needs to go into witness protection. This guy is totally useless. Someone really needs to have a chat with this guy about the fact that he’s quite literally stealing money from DraftKings and didn’t even get put in jail for it. If he can’t show up and talk about sports for around $15-20 million per year, he’s got issues and should just retire.
What else do you want me to say? There are so many talented people in this industry who deserve opportunities. Dan Le Batard wants you to know that he needs a break for being terrible. I just couldn’t imagine being that big of an ungrateful loser.
