In case you have been living under a rock, the University of Colorado is set to leave the Pac 12 for the Big 12. The move has everything to do with money. The Pac 12 still doesn’t have a TV deal and it’s more way lucrative to join a conference that has one. It’s why UCLA and USC already bounced. None of that matters to Oregon head coach Dan Lanning.
Check this cheese out.

“Not a big reaction,” Lanning said when asked about Colorado’s plans to return to the Big 12.
“I’m trying to remember what they won to affect this conference and I don’t remember. Do you remember them winning anything? I don’t remember them winning anything.”
Sick burn! Technically, Lanning is right. Since joining the Pac 12 in 2011, Colorado has just one winning season. That was way back in 2016 when they finished 10-4. Of course, Colorado won one game in 2022 which is fresh in everyone’s mind.
Make no mistake about it, when I talked about money in the first paragraph, it’s also the reason why Lanning is speaking this confidently about it. The conference is crumbling, but what does he care? Lanning just signed a massive contract extension just a few days ago. The man is allowed to have some swag after that payday.
Long story short; even if the Pac 12 crumbles, Lanning is still going to be a very rich man.
To answer your question, yes, Oregon and Colorado play this year. Get your popcorn ready for that one. Mark your calendar for September 23rd. It’s going to be a good one!
