Mike Francesa
Could Tim Tebow make the Mets roster? Mike Francesa is all over the map with this one (John Munson | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com)

Mike Francesa is slowly losing his mind. Enter example number 873. Tim Tebow is somehow playing baseball and somehow made it to AA and hit .273. Mets gm Brodie Van Wagenen has said that Tebow will start the season at AAA. Does Francesa think that Tebow can make the Mets roster? Who knows?

In what has become my version of comedy central, Francesa’s take on Tebow is hilarious:

If you watched the initial interview with Van Wagenen and Francesa, then you will get a bigger laugh out of this. Francesa screamed at Van Wagenen for an eternity and Tebow was part of the epic rant.

It’s a must listen. One of the best interviews I’ve ever heard. The line about having a 4 hole hitter and how the Mets are the favorites in the NL East is classic Francesa.

I’m sure the Mets are truly dying to give Tebow a reason to get called up. The amount of tickets they will sell would be enormous. Will Tebow ever get that chance? He may get it regardless if the Mets are out of it late in the season. If Tebow actually plays well at AAA, maybe he actually does get called up. The current Mets outfield with Yoenis Cespedes hurt is Michael Conforto, Keon Broxton / Juan Lagares, and Brandon Nimmo.

If you want to see your fair share of Tebow, he will be playing at Syracuse. Maybe Francesa will make the trip to do some reporting. The number of times that he has contradicted himself lately is hilarious. At 31 after never playing baseball for how many years, I can’t envision Tebow becoming a productive player. Francesa should have stuck with his first take.
