Conor McGregor Set To Star In New ‘Road House’ Movie Remake

Conor McGregor isn’t a championship caliber fighter anymore. Never really was but that’s a story for another day. As any smart person would, McGregor is taking advantage of his fame any way possible. The former UFC double champ is expected to star in the new ‘Road House’ movie remake.

“Conor McGregor is very excited to expand his storied career to Hollywood and join with Jake Gyllenhaal in this reimagining of ‘Road House,’ a beloved classic,” Kessler said in a statement. “While fighting remains his top focus, this is the beginning of another successful venture in the McGregor empire. He is eager to get started filming.”

Hey, this sounds like it has potential! Road House is a damn good movie. I personally love the Family Guy episode of Road House too but that’s just me. The movie will be able to be seen eventually on Amazon Prime video. If you have an account, you will find the movie there.

McGregor, 34, currently does not have a scheduled opponent he’s fighting next. He’s also in a weird spot. His fan boys want to see him fight the best of the best but those days are long gone. Especially given the fact that he has zero wrestling ability. It remains to be seen if and when he will fight next.

Herrick with who McGregor might fight next.

If you want to know more about what the potential movie will look like, Deadline has great information.

“The new take follows a former UFC fighter (Gyllenhaal) who takes a job as a bouncer at a rough-and-tumble roadhouse in the Florida Keys, but soon discovers that not everything is what it seems in this tropical paradise. While exact details behind who McGregor will be playing are unknown, sources made it clear he would be playing an original character and not himself in the project. The Amazon Original Movie is set to go into production in the Dominican Republic this month and will stream on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide at release.”

I’m not the biggest McGregor guy in the world but I will make sure to tune in for this one. I still haven’t seen the new Top Gun yet either. Amazon is making a smart push to do these classic movie remakes. Having a star like McGregor as part of the cast is only going to bring more eyeballs to the movie project. If Jake Gyllenhall wasn’t enough of a catch, this will certainly do.
