Darvin Ham Has The Authority To Bench Russell Westbrook
The hits just keep coming for Russell Westbrook. Just another collection of evidence for any fan that’s dumb enough to support this idiot. Everything about Westbrook sucks and once again, here comes another much-needed truth bomb.
New Lakers head coach Darvin Ham has officially been given the authority to bench Russell Westbrook wherever he wants. Something that Frank Vogel couldn’t do or didn’t want to do last season. Probably the former.

“As part of that dilemma, there seemed to be a fair amount of contention when it came to whether or not Westbrook belonged on the court in crunch time. Though Westbrook surely sees himself as a closer, he often made mistakes last season that cost the Lakers at the end of close contests.
It looks like that might not be an issue in the upcoming campaign, as new head coach Darvin Ham will reportedly have more power to bench Westbrook at the end of games if he desires to do so.
“Lakers head coach Darvin Ham will have more power to bench Westbrook down the stretch of games, according to league sources,” Jovan Buha of The Athletic reported. “(Former head coach Frank Vogel did so a few times last season). That could eventually extend to removing Westbrook from the starting lineup as well.”
That part doesn’t fully tell the story. We know Westbrook sucks. We know he should be playing for the Shanghai Sharks. The best part is this story came out even though the Lakers don’t have another real point guard on the roster. Lonnie Walker and Avery Bradley will share the two guard responsibilities. That means this story came out with the alternatives on the roster being Austin Reaves and Kendrick Nunn.
If you don’t get it by now, you’re past the point of seeking help. You’re a lost cause and a negative to human society.
Of course, Westbrook doesn’t get it. That guy thinks he’s awesome. The guy who everyone smart refers to as Westbrick thinks he can do no wrong. That’s why he fired his agent earlier in the offseason. Nobody in the history of the sport has had such little self-awareness. He’s put himself in this position.
None of this will matter if the Lakers can someone get a Kyrie Irving trade worked out. If they were willing to part with more than just a first round pick, Westbrook would have been shipped out of town by now. We may have to wait for the Kevin Durant shoe to drop first. As of now, who knows when that’s going to happen.
If Westbrook starts the season with the Lakers, can we get an over/under set for when Ham benches Westbrook? Whatever the number is, I will hammer the under. Take that to the bank. This Westbrook experiment in LA will never end well. It never does when you have that clown on your basketball team.
