Colin Cowherd Makes Comical Error About LaDainian Tomlinson
Our favorite sports anchor who knows quite literally nothing about sports is back at it again. It’s right out of the Cowherd playbook. You know, the thing he does when he says something that’s totally false and nobody calls him out on it while going on this long-winded rant that doesn’t accomplish anything.
Now out of nowhere, he did it again with one of the greatest running backs in NFL history, LaDainian Tomlinson.
Cowherd recently interviewed Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian. Cowherd believes that Bijan Robinson is similar to LT. His evidence? Well, he remembers watching Tomlinson at LSU!
Tomlinson, of course, never played for LSU. The San Diego Chargers selected Tomlinson with the 5th pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. That was the same draft where Michael Vick went number one overall to Atlanta.
The good news is this is an improvement for Cowherd. At least LaDainian Tomlinson is alive (if you get it, you get it). It’s sad that’s the bar for the biggest dope in sports media, but whatever.
Just a quick side note from me. Can we chill out on the Bijan Robinson comps to LaDainian Tomlinson? They’re absurd. Can the guy play a game before we start comparing him to the single-season leader in rushing touchdowns? I am forever grateful for that 2006 NFL Season (it was my first year playing fantasy football).
Tomlinson, the former TCU product, has 13,684 career rushing yards to go along with 145 touchdowns.
Speaking of fantasy, please be careful with Bijan. Expecting him to walk into the league and be Tomlinson is a stretch…
