CJ McCollum Dunked On Bill Simmons In A Hilarious Way

Did anybody read the CJ McCollum post that Matt Hanifan wrote the other day? It’s really good and you should check it out here! I just think it deserves a follow-up from myself because the way CJ McCollum dunked on Bill Simmons is so hilarious.

The Pelicans suck so it feels like everyone is possibly available via trade. The former Lehigh product was asked about possibly leaving New Orleans and found a way to roast Bill Simmons all in one shot.

“I’ve been here, this is year 12 right? I’ve been in trade rumors since my third year in the league. After my third year, Bill Simmons had me getting traded every week somewhere,” he said. “So I understand what comes with that. For me, I play the game the right way. I do things the right way. I play hard. Obviously, this team values me and I’m sure there are some other teams that value me as well.

“I like the city. My wife likes the city. My kids are happy here. I came here for a reason. But at the same time, some things aren’t’ in your control. You just play the game and do what you do and hope for the best. I’m gonna do my job and I’m gonna prepare. My value is going to be exactly where it needs to be.”

Simmons later did his best to respond but it came in the most predictable way possible. He got horny on the trade machine again and crafted up a ridiculous four-team deal that sent Jimmy Butler to Memphis (when it’s already been reported that Butler doesn’t want to play for the Grizzlies).

If you’re someone who respects The Ringer founder, let me point you in this direction so you can quickly change your mind. Simmons is a total fool and it’s amazing to me that anybody takes him seriously. The guy brings nothing to the table unless you count spending 12 hours a day on the trade machine a talent.
