Chris Russo Should Be Forced To Retire

Sorry, not sorry, Chris Russo is a coward and should be forced to retire. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, let’s have a quick chat about the recent turn of events.

Entering Game 6 of the NLCS, the Phillies were up three games to two over the Diamondbacks. Russo went on the airways and basically said he would retire if Arizona came back to win the series.

So as a man of honor and integrity, Russo retired today, right?

Nope. He went back on his word to the surprise of no one. Instead, he will be wearing a bikini while holding up weird signs. If you’re looking for someone to blame, direct your attention towards Howard Stern who came up with the new rules of the punishment.

I’m sorry, but this is BS. Russo should be forced to retire. Our word is our bond. You can’t go back on that. Plus, it’s not like the guy is in his 20’s, 30’s, or even 40’s. Russo is 64 and the normal retirement age is 65. He’s made his money too. If I were running Sirius XM, I would have taken his keycard away.

For the record, I’ve made retirement bets before. I’m still here because I haven’t lost them. I’ll gladly keep my word and retire if I ever get one of them wrong. I put my entire reputation on the line with the Mitch Trubisky thing calling him a 6th rounder. I’m still here. I also said I’d retire if I lost the fantasy hockey challenge against Sean Allen. We know how that went.

Russo should never hear the end of this and someone with honor and integrity needs to do the right thing. Put this man out to pasture where he belongs. It’s time to retire. End of story.
