Is there any team worse than the 2019-2020 Charlotte Hornets? For those wondering, save your brainpower. Everyone already knows the answer. The Charlotte Hornets will be the worst team this upcoming NBA season. It’s not even close folks. Don’t believe me? Here’s why.

Key addition: Terry Rozier

The Hornets got Rozier in a sign-and-trade with the Boston Celtics because Kemba Walker got tired of losing. I do not blame him. As for Rozier, best of luck man. The GOAT himself, Michal Jordan, cannot save this franchise. If one of the greatest basketball players to ever live cannot save this franchise, how is Rozier going to? No one is. Maybe no one can. I’m sorry Hornets fans, but it is the truth.

Key Loss: Kemba Walker

Walker as moved on to become the face of the Boston Celtics. He has the potential to take them on a deep playoff run, something he never could dream of with Charlotte. This was the best choice he could have made. Leaving the Hornets gives Kemba his best chance at winning a title. Kemba never came close to winning a title in Charlotte. He only made the playoffs twice and lost each time in the first round. It was time to move on.

Potential Starting Lineup: Rozier, Monk, Bridges, Zeller, Hernangomez

Everyone sucks equally. If there is any hope for the future, at least let some of the younger guys get minutes. The Hornets need to lean heavily into the development of Bridges. Monk has not lived up to the expectations he had when he came out of Kentucky. After that, there really is not anyone else that jumps off the page.

I’m feeling generous today, so I will give the Charlotte Hornets 20 wins. This team is not tanking, it is just a poorly run franchise. Horrible contracts and draft busts have led to this team to completely fall apart. The Hornets will be the worst team this season and will share in the highest odds of obtaining the first overall pick. Maybe the Hornets should just move on to greener pastures. Like, Sonics green?
