Pick CeeDee Lamb Over The Other Cowboys Wide Receivers In 2021
First of all, if you don’t realize that CeeDee Lamb is already better than Michael Gallup, you have a lot of catching up to do. I thought CeeDee Lamb was the best WR to come out of the draft in 2020, turns out I was right. A bittersweet moment for me because my beloved Raiders ended up taking Henry Ruggs III over him. Yay. A topic for another day though. He should absolutely be considered over Michael Gallup for fantasy and just in general. The hot take is that you should take Lamb over Amari Cooper.
Why? Is it because I still feel bitter about Cooper being traded? (Why am I so bitter today? Jesus, Alex, get it together.) A little bit. However, the Raiders got a first for him. My biggest thing against Amari Cooper is that he disappears in games. This just wasn’t with the Raiders but he has done this in games with the Cowboys too. Amari Cooper didn’t have a bad year in the slightest. He had 92 receptions on 130 targets, 1,114 yards, and 5 TDs. However, neither did CeeDee Lamb. Lamb had 74 receptions on 111 targets, 935 targets, and also 5 TDs. Their catch-to-target ratio is only differed by 4%. Lamb’s yards per reception is higher by a mere .5 yards. They did have the same number of TDs though. That’s looking at the big picture though.
As I mentioned, watching football, Cooper seems to disappear in games where it almost warrants a missing person report. I don’t get that from Lamb. He is readily used throughout the game. Amari Cooper has more boom potential where he will just go off one week. But, why try to predict that when you can have someone that gives you a steady amount of production? Hell, CeeDee Lamb was only a rookie, he might have boom potential too. He’ll be a superstar. I think he should be considered more than Cooper. He might get more TDs than him this year. I think the gap between the receptions and targets diminishes this year.
If you think that Amari Cooper is still the head honcho in Dallas, it’s time to get with the times. CeeDee Lamb is the guy for the Cowboys. He will lead the Cowboys’ WR in fantasy points. You can either take my advice and look smarter than you are, or you can disregard my advice and whoever takes Lamb will make you look dumb. Your choice. Choose wisely. (Is that a slogan somewhere? I feel like it is, for like alcohol or something. That’s going to bug me. If not, I should coin that term. WAIT, is that from SAW? You know the psychological horror movies? Whatever, I’ll figure it out.)
