The transfer window closes Oct. 5, and teams are scrambling to get in their last-minute transfers. In a just before the buzzer move, Edinson Cavani announced he has signed with Manchester United as a free transfer.
The 33-year-old Uruguay striker left Paris-Saint Germain in March and is set to finalize his switch to Old Trafford. He arrived to complete his medial yesterday, just in time for the deadline.
Contract details are unknown but there is speculation that it is only for one year, with a possible extension of another year triggered by the club.
Cavani spent seven years at PSG after previously playing in Italy for Napoli and Palermo.
He will have a different challenge playing in the Premier League. But after scoring 200 goals for PSG, it may be time for a new challenge.
