One player I absolutely love in fantasy for the 2020 season is Calvin Ridley. The Falcons wide receiver has been a solid pro. If Ridley is going to take a step forward and become a great pro, it’s this year. Calvin Ridley could wind up being a fantasy rockstar this year and is flying way under the radar.

Ridley has a lot going for him now. First things first, the opportunity is going to be there more often. Mohamed Sanu has been traded. Austin Hooper also left via free agency. Ridley has been a very good receiver. The biggest reason why he hasn’t blow the doors off yet is because of target share. Ridley has eight career games where he received eight targets in a game. In those games, Ridley is averaging 24.2 fantasy points (in PPR leagues).

Ridley has proven he’s a really good player. The former Alabama product is a great route runner and has the speed to convert deep balls. Furthermore, he’s in a perfect fantasy situation.

  • Julio Jones gets the double teams.
  • Ridley is the next best target.
  • Pass first offense.
  • Horrible Defense.
  • Capable Quarterback.

When you’re looking for boxes to check in terms of fantasy, this is it. Probably doesn’t hurt that he plays in a dome so the weather isn’t an issue either. As a rookie, Ridley had a passer rating of 125.8 when targeted. That was the 8th best mark in the NFL. The point is, when the Falcons throw this man the football, good things happen.

It just feels like only a matter of time for Calvin Ridley. He’s more gifted than DJ Moore is. Moore has just gotten more publicity because there is no Julio Jones on his team. Without Sanu and Hooper in town, Ridley is going to dominate. Talent was never the issue, opportunity was. If you have a chance to draft Ridley, make sure you do it.
