There is a report that Gar Forman, GM of the Chicago Bulls, is on the hot seat. We’ve been expecting this report, especially at how bad the Bulls have been ran. Gar Forman has been the Bulls GM since 2009. While he should be praised for selecting Derrick Rose in 2009, there are plenty more bad picks than good for his resume. The Bulls situation reported via Joe Cowley of the Chicago-Sun Times:
Jerry Reinsdorf might be waking up — and not in the best of moods.
According to several sources, the Bulls chairman is livid about the team’s 6-12 start this season and the continued sinking profile of the organization and is beginning to focus on general manager Gar Forman. The sources indicated this is not a recent change of heart for Reinsdorf, and that his unhappiness has been building after several questionable decisions.
The opinion of former Bulls coach Doug Collins — a Bulls advisor who has never been a huge fan of Forman — is said to be carrying weight in this.
Yikes. I mean, any knowledgeable NBA fan could have told you that the Bulls would not be good this year. We expected this at Vendetta. There’s just not enough talent on that roster to succeed. This can be traced back to trading Jimmy Butler away for…do you remember? Me either, that is how bad that trade was. I don’t mind that they traded him to rebuild, but they didn’t trade him for enough and set them back quite a bit.
I’ll tell you what though, something needs to trade in that organization. That team hasn’t been good for years and they’ve been dysfunctional for quite some time. After Derrick Rose, that team hasn’t made that much noise. Their roster isn’t good and frankly, neither is their coach. The Bulls should be cleaning the house here real soon. For me, the Bulls GM job is already unofficially open, it is just a matter of when. This team is only going to get worse.
