The Bucs Won’t Stop The Bucky Irving Hype Train

When people tell you who they are believe them. We’ve all heard that line before, right? Well, everything I hear out of Bucs camp is that Bucky Irving is going to be awesome. They talk about him constantly and it just feels so different than just a middle round draft pick.

Recently, the Bucs team website put this article out there on Irving. You don’t have to read it but it essentially just talks about how great of a fit he is for the offense. It doesn’t just stop there though. Every single day he’s in the training camp notes. He’s on the verge of creating his own bible verses. They talk about him non-stop and the hype just feels so real.

I just have a few thoughts that you should keep in mind.

Are we sure the Bucs are going to miss Dave Canales? He was passed over a bunch of times in Seattle and his offense in Tampa couldn’t run the ball. Tampa ranked 32nd last year in rushing and 32nd the year before with Tom Brady. Does Rachaad White actually stink or does Canales stink at calling run plays?

What if it’s both?

What if we’re sitting here Week 10 and Irving is clearly the better back on an offense that’s running the ball better? Keep in mind, for a team that’s won this division three straight years and can’t get any respect. Irving can clearly catch the ball too.

Who knows what will happen this Fall but at this point, it feels pretty safe to assume Irving is going to be involved. Very involved.
