He Gone!

Tampa Bay has released quarterback Josh McCown following just one season with the team. After earning a 2 year 10 million dollar deal, McCown will need to find a new home. Prior to his time in Tampa, Josh was a revelation in Chicago. Former head coach Marc Trestman had a lot to do with his success in the windy city. McCown will likely land a backup job with another team.

As for the Bucs, Mike Glennon is now the lone quarterback on the roster. This though will not last long as either Jameis Winston of Florida State, or Marcus Mariota of Oregon will be the new face of the franchise. Cutting McCown gives the Bucs an added 5.25 million in cap room. Tampa Bay will likely be heavy spenders again this offseason with a bevy of cap space.
