Buccaneers Fire Head Coach Dirk Koetter

It’s about time! Dirk Koetter may be one of the dumbest human beings in the world, let alone one of the worst head coaches in the NFL. After a 19-28 record in Tampa Bay, the terrible experiment finally came to an end after the Bucs fired Koetter. Tampa will be one of many looking for a new head coach.

Adam Schefter of ESPN was the first to report the news:

“We sincerely appreciate the hard work and commitment shown by Dirk over the past several years. Working with Dirk has been a pleasure and we wish him and his family all the best in the future. Our search for a new head coach will begin immediately and will be conducted by General Manager Jason Licht.”

I can’t say this move is surprising. It wasn’t too long ago that Koetter claimed that he wanted to fire himself. I’m not kidding. I think we all knew the Koetter thing was going to be a disaster from the get-go. From being a terrible coordinator in Atlanta to claiming that analytics are garbage; Koetter was an all-around joke.

Here’s a game we should play; Are we sure Jameis Winston stinks? Are we sure? Now that Koetter is gone, I think we are going to get a much better idea.
