Brock Bowers: Fantasy Football Managers Need To Exercise Patience

Karma works in mysterious ways but it favors those who pay attention. You need some luck to win any fantasy league but often times the same mistakes bury people over and over again. History suggests exactly what you should do when considering Brock Bowers in fantasy. Are you smart enough to recognize the most likely path forward? If not, let’s talk about it.

I’ve said it once and I’ll probably say it one hundred more times. There is no evidence to suggest rookie tight ends taken in the first round pop right away in a meaningful way. Like literally zero. All of the people who are frustrated with Kyle Pitts. Look yourselves in the mirror because you are the problem. Something I saw coming a mile away years ago. I don’t need hindsight bias. My thoughts are valid because I’m smart.

Two things can be true:

A: Brock Bowers is awesome and I’m a huge fan.

B: There is no evidence that suggests you should pour heavy resources into rookie tight ends taken in the first round when it comes to fantasy football.

C: The Raiders picked him. A team that will either start Gardner Minshew or Aidan O’Connell.

There is one approach that should be taken with the former standout at Georgia. Let someone else have him this year. Trade for Bowers next year once the original owner panics because their own expectations aren’t realistic. That’s the way to play this. Using the stock market approach in long term fantasy league’s is often times the right approach. Be smart and keep expectations in mind when it comes to Bowers.
