Brian Windhorst Says His Relationship With LeBron James Is Dead
Love is dead. Friendship is also dead. We have sad news to report ladies and gentlemen. Brian Windhorst and LeBron James’ relationship is dead. We may have seen the end of a true era. Will we ever see a reporter rise so high in the ranks by simply riding the coattails of one athlete? A truly remarkable feat that should be remembered on such a sad day.
Brian Windhorst talked about LeBron James on a recent appearance on the SI Media Podcast. According to Windhorst, he’s “moved on”.
“In years past, I had messaged with him, but we both kind of moved on,” Windhorst said. “LeBron doesn’t have personal relationships like that with reporters. He hasn’t for a long time.”
Windhorst doesn’t need LeBron? Who does? Guy traded for Russell Westbrook. Guy’s lost his touch. If you ask me, Windhorst waited too long to dump his ass. Matter of fact, I’m sure that’s when the breakup happened, we’re just finding out about it now because Westbrook is about to either get traded or cut.
Windy is off to bigger and better things. He’s moved on and totally doesn’t need any inside information from LeBron. Have you seen the Rudy Gobert clip? Pure gold. You do better. That clip will never die.
This relationship should be celebrated. Many couples don’t make it this far. Windhorst has been stalking the so called ‘Chosen One’ since he was in high school. Both attended St. Vincent-St. Mary high school in Ohio. Windhorst was hired by ESPN virtually seconds after “The Decision” dropped on ESPN. It was love at first sight and now that love is dead. Maybe the two will rekindle that love connection on Valentines Day when LeBron decides to fake his season ending injury after the Lakers are eliminated from the playoffs.
Maybe the two just need some time apart. Maybe LeBron has too much money now. They say that affects couples’ relationships. Ultimately maybe LeBron just never loved him back and that’s just tough to see.
