Brian Cashman Admits Giancarlo Stanton Is Injury Prone

You all thought I was crazy. Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten. Six years later, we’re here. We’re living in the moment. You’re not even going to believe what Brian Cashman just said about Giancarlo Stanton.

Cashman is really going through it right now. It’s just so obvious that he’s losing it a little bit in the brain. Cashman is like a 45-year-old mom who’s in the middle of menopause and decided to take a trip to Atlantic City and smoke a little crystal.

Cashman is like Cartman when he develops Tourette’s Syndrome.

Use whatever metaphor you want. The only thing that’s clear is that Cashman is a total loose cannon right now and he’s not even trying to hide it.

Cashman on Stanton:

“We try to limit the time he’s down,” Cashman said, via Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News. “But I’m not gonna tell you he’s gonna play every game next year because he’s not. He’s going to wind up getting hurt again more likely than not because it seems to be part of his game. But I know that when he’s right and healthy — other than this past year — the guy’s a great hitter and has been for a long time.”

You just can’t say that. Cashman doesn’t even care anymore. He’s just letting it all hang out. I guess credit to him for being honest. Just so many ways to answer that question other than saying the guy is a bum and we know we can’t count on him to be on the field. Because that’s essentially what he said in a fancier way.

I think my favorite line is “He’s going to wind up getting hurt again”. Just wow. I don’t even know what else to say.

Don’t forget, this is coming off the heels of trying to sell you on his team being “really F’ing good”.
