Bocadillo Has The Best Arepas In Montreal
Bocadillo is a small Venezuelan shop located in Montreal, Canada, in Plateau. They sell many Venezuelan foods such as Empanaditas, BBQ sandwiches and Cachapas, with sides of fries and more.
Although these are delicious, the arepas are their most popular dish, by far. Many people flock from all different spots of the city to try these delicious arepas that are spicy, savory and steaming hot. Although there is limited space at the joint, there is always a way to sit down and enjoy a delicious arepa that they sell.
They offer many different flavors to accommodate all kinds of eaters. There are even vegan options for those who keep a plant-based diet! They have flavors such as the Sifrina Arepa, which comes with chicken salad and cheddar cheese; the Capresa Arepa, which comes with tomato and mozzarella; the India Arepa, which comes with shredded beef and avocado and plenty others. The vegan option is packed with avocado, black beans, tomato and fried plantains.
Their most popular option, however, is the Pabellon Special Arepa.
This one is filled with all the toppings possible: Shredded beef, black beans, avocado, fresh white cheese, fried plantains and avocado. This flavor combination is by far the best.
The freshness from the cheese and avocado keeps it nourishing and refreshing. The shredded beef is spicy and offers a punch of flavors from the Venezuelan spices. The meat is tender, steaming hot and savory. The plantains add the best bite of a unique flavor that’s pretty uncommon, and the entire Arepa is delicious.
