Brandon Beane did not miss when he selected Tremaine Edmunds in the 2018 NFL Draft. Buffalo found themselves a star when they drafted the former Virginia Tech product. Edmunds, 22, is heading into his 3rd NFL season and has turned into a superstar for the Bills. He’s going to be a great player for a long time.
Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier spoke about Edmunds today. Frazier was glowing with praise:
“When you look at the fact that he’s just going to third season and just turning 22, so young, so much promise ahead of him, and he’s achieved so much already,” Frazier said, via CBSSports.com. “I mean, to already be recognized as one of our leaders on our team and on our defense. We’re very very fortunate to have him. He’s the epitome of what you would want to one of your star players to be, one of your leaders to be. A guy you don’t have to worry about late at night. You know he’s going to be where he’s supposed to be, you know he’s going to do what he’s supposed to do when it comes to football. We’re just very very fortunate to have him as a star player for the Buffalo Bills for sure.”
Tremaine Edmunds is the glue to this defense. He’s led the team in tackles in each of his two years in the league. He also has 21 pass deflections and 3 interceptions in coverage which is part of what makes him so special. Edmunds checks in at 6-foot-5, 250. He’s so long and fast. Combine that with special athletic traits and instincts. You have a superstar linebacker who isn’t close to done growing.
